The Night Sister is a wonderfully written suspense novel that centres around a family who are running a motel in a small town in the 1950’s. Like most families, this particular family has secrets. But they are secrets not like any other. Secrets of a supernatural kind. The young family consists of a mom and dad and two little girls. One of the little girls has a dream to one day travel to Hollywood and become famous. She likes Alfred Hitchcock movies and she writes to him on a regular basis telling him of her plans to become a star. The other sister, who is the youngest, is a little different in that she feels she does not fit in to her own family. She feels jealous and feels that her older sister is stealing her parent’s attention.
The book starts out in present day and is this time centred around the present day descendants of the original motel family. A young married woman it seems has gone crazy as she is afraid that someone is in her house and is going to hurt her husband and two small children. She must find this intruder and destroy it to protect her family.
Events will unfold that will have readers gasping until the very end.
