Synopsis: An elderly man arrives at the hospital and ER staff have no diagnosis. More victims follow causing a doctor and a police sergeant to join forces to solve a mysterious illness that is spreading through the community. A nun believes it is the work of God punishing sinners who have committed hideous crimes; but some believe is it the work of a serial killer. As the doctor and sergeant race against the clock to discover the truth, could a miracle be happening in the Catholic Church?
This is a book that is worth the read. While I could not put the book down, most times I was not sure if I was reading true life or fiction. However, I could not help but feel that the writer was writing this book to clear her mind. Operation Wormwood also gives us a sense of what first-responders deal with in their daily lives.
A well-written book. Great job, Mrs. Escott.
