Mortimer by Robert Munsch (the board book)

Mortimer by Robert Munsch is one of those “must have” books for any home. Reader and listener alike will quickly become familiar with the story thanks to its repetitive nature. It only takes one or two pages before everyone is able to sing Mortimer’s song at the top of their lungs and with great gusto! The story highlights the fun (or should I say difficulty?) of putting a child to bed and then, in typical Munsch fashion, the challenges posed at bedtime take on a life of their own. The toddler in my life loves this story. The board book is a perfect size for her to take on a car trip or up to bed. She enjoys singing Mortimer’s song and has taken to telling her younger brother to “BE QUIET,” even when it is not bedtime! Mortimer will quickly become a favourite to be enjoyed again and again.
