Left to Die by Gary Collins

Left to Die (the Story of the SS Newfoundland Sealing Disaster) is a book that can still cause readers to question — some 100 years later — if such a disaster could have been avoided. This story leaves you wondering why no one was held accountable for such a tragedy.
Gary Collins puts a face with a name, a name with a family, and a family with a community. Not only did I get a reason why Newfoundlanders went to the ice in the spring, but reading the book made me feel what those men felt when they were lost on the ice. A very compelling read.
