Katherine and Tim Reid have it all. A very successful Ad Agency and a baby on the way. Their first baby. All is right with the world but then something terrible happens. Something that tears them apart and leaves Katherine to pick up the pieces of her life and move on. This, however, is something Katherine cannot do and she finds herself at a crossroads. She has been to see many doctors and they all have the same prognosis: she is dying. She has come to accept this and decides to sell off everything that she has and move from the city to a cabin in the wilderness and wait for her death.
However, once she moves to this cabin things take an unexpected change and Katherine no longer feels like she is dying. She feels energized and happy. For many months she believes she is alone in the woods. She has no idea someone is watching her. Someone named Danny who is a young Vietnam Veteran and lives in the wilderness not far from Katherine.
This young man is about to make a move and introduce himself to Katherine and what happens next is a series of events that changes Katherine’s life forever. It’s a suspenseful read that takes you deep into the wilderness.
