In Athena Becomes a Swallow, Brent MacLaine attempts to give poetic voice to 27 minor characters from Homer’s The Odyssey. The characters MacLaine chooses to work with are ones whose names or professions are mentioned in passing in the original epic poem but in all likelihood are forgotten soon after you finish reading.
