This children’s board book outlines the real-life journey of the snowy white owl as it travels from the Arctic to Portland, Maine. Young children will learn about how owls migrate, how they can adapt to their environment(s), and how humans should respectfully interact with them. In search of food, this one snowy owl journeys far from its homeland. But with its natural aptitude and a little human intervention, can the owl finds its way back home to the Artic?
Large, bold print and colorful, expressive pictures will surely capture the attention of children between the ages of 2-5. It is a sweet story that teaches children about an owl’s survival and is told in an engaging, simplistic, and age-appropriate way. As a bonus, A Snowy Owl Story can instill a respectful understanding of one of nature’s wonders.
