A Single Breath

This is Eva’s story. Eva is a newlywed whose husband, Jackson, is fishing alone early one morning and is swept into the water and presumed drowned. In her grief – and search for closure – Eva decides to visit Tasmania (her husband’s hometown) to meet Jackson’s friends and family and to learn more about her husband and to try to see where and how he grew up to become the man she fell in love with.
When she arrives, Jackson’s father and brother are not happy to see her; in fact, his father remarks that it would have been better if Jackson had never married her at all. Hurt by this, Eva has more questions and Jackson’s attractive brother, Saul, has the answers. As Eva struggles to learn more about Jackson, she also struggles with her growing attraction to his brother, Saul.
This is Eva’s story. It is a story about endings, betrayals and hope. It is a beautifully well-written book and I hated to see it end.
